Central Business District

                                        An Overview

The central business district is the heart of our regions business and financial interests.  The core part of the District is a 24 square block area which is home to hundreds of service establishments, hotels, bars, restaurants, a growing number of high rise apartments and lofts, and businesses including the corporate headquarters of BOK Financial, the Williams Companies and local, state and Federal Government offices.

The buildings of downtown Tulsa are a collection of world famous 1920's Art Deco masterpieces like the Midcontinent Tower, Atlas Life Building and the Philtower Building which sit alongside modern day sky scrapers like the BOK Tower, designed by the same architect who designed New York's former World Trade Center.  The CBD is also home to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, which covers over a half city block and was also designed by Minoru Yamaski.  It features five theatres and a reception hall where more than 250,000 people visit each year to attend performances.
